Shhhesh! my kids have been on vacay all month and I need a break like nobodys biz!! This is my job and unlike regular working folk- I don;t get weekends or holidays or vacations- this is 24/7 LITERALLY and I am finding my patience is wearing thin. OK just needed to get that off my chest. We spent Easter at nanas, it was fun. Unfortunately, Kens mom Jane passed that day.....so it was somber at dinner.
I am not a huge fan of Easter- I respect the tradition of it biblically but as far as Bunnies and eggs and candy and pastels- no thanks- I will take a capital "P" for pass- we got to see some friends tho- my BFF Kerri and her kids whom my kid thoroughly enjoy. We went to Gpa J's the following weekend and it was delightful and hot- sawyer and Sachyl swam. (Sachyl with the aid of floaties) and I got some sun. ps I have been tanning all month and those 12 minutes in the tanning bed is a dream come true- super relaxing and warm and all to myself!! While in the desert we hit up the Living Desert which is somewhat of a zoo/nature trail/museum thing. We had a really good time. My sister was there and we always laugh our butts off when we are together. The next day Gpa J took us to the WW2 Air museum. It is really really cool and I suggest if anyone gets the chance to speak with an actual WW2 vet to do it. There aren't a whole lot left and the things that they endured are incredible to hear.
It is month of the military child on Miramar so we went and saw a Seaworld animal show and a Wild animal show. Sachyl touched a Kinkajou (sp) - afterthe show they show a movie for free so we stayed and watched Race to Witch Mountain. It was ok- Sawyer liked it more than Sachyl which was to be expected. It has a special place in my heart because my sister and I used to love those movies when we were kids. I have not spoken to my husband in about 2 weeks due to all the stupid Pirates cruisin the coast of middle of nowhere, so I have nothing to report on his end :(
We went Prom dress shopping for Devyn and her dress is super hot! I am excited! We all 4 went and it was intersting except that sawyer was sick but he was a trooper so Devyn got both of them Build-a -Bears. My kids are spoiled to the core-
Swimming classes have ended and Sachyl is STILL in the baby pool- she is taking a break till july and doing gymnastics instead. Sawyer got demoted to a lower class which starts today- he was bummed but I put the blame on me and said that I put him in a class he wasn't ready for..... He and I are doing a Mother /Son dinner at the Y and it will be a Survivor theme. I am scared.
:) Monday they back to school!!!!!! Sachyl will start her 4 year old class which will be 3 mornings a week- it cuts into our Borders storytime but I will manage - I have been maintaining my 4-5 gym times a week and I started running on the treadmill which I have never run before but it feels really good. We are trying to steer clear of the Swine flu but I am not feeling so hot the last few days. I think it is the crazy changing weather. Childrens church started on Wed. I was not prepared but it went fine. The kids had fun :)
Also we got new floors put in and I am psyched!!

Ok so New England might be out. :( I have no clue where we will go and Jose is gone until AUGUST!! Uh correction from my last post- we will be going to Rancho Mirage- which is a stones throw from PS and I would like to mention my dad- Joe Nazarian- aka Joe Strong. HOLLER!! He works with mice you know....well at least one anyway.
Scratch the Price is Right too- there is nothing going on but the rent and We haven't done anything noteworthy lately either....;(ho hum.....the kids start swimming tomorrow and I have been going to the gym 4-5 times a week....again. Lets see how long this lasts- I am determined to look good again. I may even go to the tanning bed before I go to the desert oooh dare me??
Did I mention that Sawyer went to his friends a few weeks ago and fell off a trike, yes, a trike and had to go the ER?? Well he did and I took him to Rady's Childrens hospital instead of the nightmare that is Balboa- and the poor thing got stitches. Just two, but he was terrified and freaking out. They had to wrap him like a mummy to keep him still cuz it was really close to his eye. It's already healed and I don't really see a scar.
Oh we did make it to Legoland and some friends went with us. It was really fun, my friend kara and her husband have kids the same exact ages as my kids- Sawyer went on a rollercoaster and is such a "kid" now, he can go on anything. Sachyl was afraid of almost everything which I thought was weird.....hopefully she outgrows that, I don't want her to be like me.
We went to see Monsters vs. Aliens in 3d and it was really cool, Sachyl was scare at first but everyone, including Devs sat thru the whole show. Just shove some popcorn and skittles in Sawyers face and he is content as a cow. Twilight is out people ....go see it and fall in love with Edward all over again in your own living room.........I must go now my children are arguing and punching each other. Can u feel the love??

It's been awhile
Okay well we had our usual SAWYERS BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA and it was all planned out- we would go up to Carlsbad and stay in a resort that in it's package included Legoland tickets. Cool , so day 1 we would go to the SeaLife Aquarium adjacent to Legoland (check) and day 2, get up early, check out and head on over to the park- okay, well we got there about 10 minutes before it was supposed to open and no on was really there. There were some people there for the aquarium but no one else. I went to the box office and asked for a map and the guy said " Legoland is closed." to which I replied, " No. It's not!" - yes it was - they are closed Tuesdays and Weds. .......... my poor kids! We had been planning this for weeks, I pulled them out of school, Nana helped with the room. What was I going to do?? I had to think quick, I couldn't let down my babies so I pulled out my secret weapon... " Do you guys want to go to Disneyland??" YAY!! All is right with the world- so we headed to the OC and were safely inside the gates of the Happiest Place on Earth by noon. Bonus is we still have our Legoland tickets, so we can go this Saturday- poor Sachyl, I have turned her into a jetsetter- she thinks anytime we go somewhere now we are getting some nice hotel. Sorry honey we can drive up and back in one day:)
Anywhoosie, the Aquarium was really cool- not a whole day excursion like I was hoping but really cool and the food was all very very healthy and organic and delish. The hotel was nice too, except most of the children play areas were under construction or being repaired :( and the play room with all the video games cost money - who ever has cash anymore , let alone coins-? The last person I remember with a pocket full of coins was my grandpa in 1980......but we did have a view of the ocean and it was nice to feel the ocean breeze again. Had it been a few weeks later the flower fields would have been in bloom right in front of our room. Oh well-
Sachyl is really digging her tap class and has taken over my Itunes on the computer to listen to her song and a lot of Pat Benetar........?? We decided to quit the play at the Baptist Church. Sawyer wasn't feeling it and it was just something I was never really "feeling" on Sundays- the kids are too little to make that commitment but I told the director to keep us in the loop for maybe something in the summer-
Our next planned fun will be Nanas for Easter, possibly The Price is Right on 4/13 and Palm Springs in April- I really think the kids will enjoy The Living Desert. It won't be hot and miserable yet.
Speaking of miserable weather , we are still waiting for our orders to get outta summer24/7 aka Southern California. I lurves it, but I gotsta go! We are down to either New England or WA. If we go to New England Joe will be a recruiter and I know he will have no problem reaching his "quota"- he is a very determined and hard worker. CA is my home and always will be but I need a change- I want a real Fall and a real Winter. A real Spring would be a slice of heaven, literally- that's how I picture it anyway.
ps finished the Alley Winter 09 vid:)
Till I am bored silly, see ya!

Blah blah blah blah blah! I have been so lazy lately- my poor kids! I think the only fun thing we have done lately is see Bedtime Stories.....Sachyl and i have started going to Borders every Wed. am for storytime- she luvs it! There are songs and stories and a bubble machine. Of course afterward we go next door to Old Navy- I will turn that girl into a shopper yet! We have been there about 4 times in the last 8 days (help) she looks fabulous now though- always matching and so cute! Sawyer has scored some pretty sweet undies and pants too- I am not mean to him he just has more clothes than he knows what to do with. We are going to Carlsbad for his 6th bday- we got a cool deal at the Grand Pacific Palisades Resort which includes Legoland tix. That will be day 2, day 1 will be the new Aquarium park located next to Legoland. It should be fun. U KNOW there will be many pix from that event!! He comes home and reads books to me from his class every night. Except I m starting to think he is reciting from memory instead of actually READING........we'll see
We get to Have a Video Teleconference with Joe on Tuesday- we are super excited that we will get 15 minutes to chat and actually be able to see each other- The kids are pumped! He spent some time in Guam and was able to hang out in the USO and call us for free- He also stayed at the Hilton for 2 days. I asked him if he was on vacation and he said he felt like he was living the dream.....he was joking of course...
Devyn finally withdrew from HS and in enrolled in Continuing Ed adult school- if she can manage to get all her required hours in she can graduate with cap and gown on June 3rd!!! I am not holding my breathe but it would be nice!! ( fingers crossed) .
I started volunteering at he Childrens Ministry at the church where the kids go to Childrens Church. After a 5 page application , a background check and references ( no lie) I started last night. It was interesting........I was in Creation Station class with 4,5 and kinders..........YIKES- I had Sachyl in my class and since they usually go on Tuesdays, we switched to weds. because that 's when they needed me, Sawyer had to either be in my class too ( it's not as busy that night so they combine the ages) OR be in a theme class of first to fifth graders- he was nervous but I knew he wouldn't have fun with all the little kids. So he went to a big kid class and did cooking. When I dropped him off the teacher told me they would be doing boiled eggs and adding mayo etc...anyone who knows Sawyer knows that that is a bad news situation. I was worried but I left him there- HE LOVED IT! He peeled the stinky eggs and brought me little deviled egg sailboats with little toothpick flags. ( I thought it weird to make DEVILED eggs at church but whatever) . I ate them , he would not but he had fun and the teacher said he was awesome! I'm so proud!!
I really can't think of anything noteworthy to Blog about so I am going to sit on my big butt, watch some tv and wait for the rain to start!! YAYAYYAYAYAAY!
ps does anyone want my cat Snugs?? She needs to be in a home w/out kids or other pets....she is pretty and loving but schizo and weird :) Let me know!!
HAPPY V-D

We took Devyn to the Hard Rock and she was quite surprised to see all her fallbrook friends- they had fun and ended up hanging out downtown after dinner. The next night my parents took me and Vicky to PF Changs for MY bday. It was YUMMY!! We go Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake after. I ended up getting a Horrendous case of heartburn a few nights later and had to go to the doctor the next day because I threw up and passed out from the pain. She was a freako and did all this bloodwork and ends up calling me on a Sunday night in the middle of Big Love no less, to tell me my potassium level was in the fatal level. Was I having chest pains?? Uh No, so she tells me that if I start feeling weird to call 911. THANKS! I felt fine but I couldn't sleep that night thinking at any moment I would go into cardiac arrest. L-S-S, I went back got rechecked and I was fine - I just need Prilosec woopie. Sachyl LURVES her tap class and she is so proud of learning her dance she will do at Balboa park in June. They also went to a magic Show t the library and sawyer got to be an " assistant" it was funny. The magician had him doing the cabbage patch and he didn't even know he was doing it. We really aren't doing anything exciting lately, I have been sick all week but Vicky threw me a dinner party last night for my birthday and she brought her Edward Cullen doll and we played Where's Edward?? Good Times!
Sorry so boring but I am not in a blogging mood :) I did get a journal though so maybe I will journal- but u can't see it!

I did get all the decorations put away promptly I might add- we had cake for Sachyl a few weeks early and it was just delightful and Seaworld was so fun. It was cold but not crowded and we hung out in the Bay of Play and didn't see any shows but the kids had a great time. Dumb us, we went on Shipwreck Rapids which is like a river raft and it goes thru a waterfall and we were soooo freezing after that we had to get Sawyer a sweatshirt! He dug it because it had Sharks on it....score for him. Then we were eating a $40 lunch (ridiculous!! Seaword should be ashamed!) ....and it was hamburgers people, NOT steak- anywho there were Seagulls standing ON the empty tables all around me and I was in panic mode- anyone who knows me knows I am terrified of nasty birds- the rest of the family ate like it was no biggie but I am convinced that the spray of something that I felt land on our food that we subsequently ingested was Seagull pee- after wards we drove around Mission Beach and took the kids down to walk by the water and Sachyl got creamed by a wave bad so we had to go :( But they had a goodtime running fro the waves up till that point.
Moving along- Joe had been in and out preparing for his deployment so we hung out when we could. His last official night at home was supposed to be on the 6th but Sachyl was pretty sick so we ended up in the ER from 9pm -3 am not cool- she turned 4 in the waiting room- she was sleeping but I sang Happy Birthday to her anyway I didn't care what anyone else thought . Joe was asleep too since he had to be at work in like 5 short hours. Long story short - she was fine and he went to work while we had a party with a few neighbors to celebrate Sachyls actual birthday she had a good time with her second cake and her friends. Thursday we hung out with Joe and saw Madagascar 2 and went to Barnes and Noble before we drove him to the pier- it was sad, he was sad it made me sad- he has only been gone 2 days:(
Devyn turned 18 yesterday and her friends from Starbucks took her out and took her to a strip club........girls not guys WHATEVER u only turn 18 once and at least she was already familiar with that anatomy so I was thinking it could have been worse............we are having a party for her next weekend with my parents and some of her friends but she doesn't know about the friends part so that will be a surprise shhhhhhhh. We are taking her to the Hard Rock Hotel in downtown- there is a really cool diner there that is appropriate for her age and its all retro and purple........I looked up rooms knowing they would be pricy but I was thinking $300 WRONG!! they are $2500.00 so guess what??? Not gettin a room. :) The kids are still out of school until the 20th and I am counting the days.............Have a great January :)
